Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the engineering team in performing basic structural calculations.
- Help analyze the load-bearing capacity of structural components.
- Assist in preparing simple structural drawings and layout sketches.
- Make minor edits to existing drawings under supervision using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Help compile design reports, calculation sheets, and material schedules.
- Organize project files and assist in preparing documents for submission.
- Join site visits to observe construction and take notes or measurements.
- Assist in documenting site conditions and reporting back to the design team.
- Participate in internal training sessions and shadow senior engineers.
- Take initiative to learn company processes, tools, and basic structural design standards.
Key Requirement Skills And Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field
- Basic understanding of structural design principles, materials, and construction methods
- Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Prokon, STAAD, or similar) is an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
