What you will do:
Role Overview:
The Internal Comms Manager ensures MOGO employees are informed, aligned, and inspired. They translate strategy into stories for staff, foster transparency, and build a culture where employees are proud ambassadors of MOGO’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Internal Communication
- Develop and maintain an Internal Comms Calendar (newsletters, Yammer/Teams posts, staff updates).
- Simplify corporate updates (targets, milestones, campaigns) into engaging stories for employees.
- Work with leadership to craft messages that are authentic, clear, and motivating.
Employee Engagement
- Proactively identify opportunities to celebrate employees (promotions, anniversaries, performance wins).
- Proactively create and coordinate creative employee-targeted content (videos, spotlights, Q&As, polls, “day-in-the-life” stories).
Narrative Building
- Ensure internal narratives reflect the external comms strategy — staff must live the brand story.
- Align staff around company values, mission, and strategic campaigns.
- Capture employee voices as thought leadership pieces for external platforms when relevant.
Content Creation & Storytelling (newly added focus)
- Produce engaging multimedia content (videos, graphics, photo stories, newsletters) to bring internal messages to life.
- Collaborate with design, videography, and comms team members to develop consistent, branded content for internal platforms.
- Innovate new formats to make internal communication more interactive (podcasts, reels, live updates, staff takeovers).
Crisis & Change Communication
- Act as first responder for sensitive internal announcements (policy changes, branch updates, restructures).
- Work closely with Corporate Comms to ensure consistent messaging inside and outside the company.

- Initiative in exploring digital tools, including AI, to enhance creative output
- Exceptional creativity and innovation in brand and product campaigns
- High attention to detail, with strong proofreading and editing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Willingness to learn and collaborate with the team
- Strong ethical standards and adherence to company policies
