We are seeking an experienced Petroleum Reservoir Engineering Consultant with proven expertise in PETREL software to design and deliver a high-impact Petroleum Reservoir Engineering with PETREL Training Course. The consultant will facilitate sessions that blend technical theory with hands-on practical exercises, case studies, and field-based applications to enhance participants’ competency in modern reservoir modeling, simulation, and management.
Key Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for:
Course Preparation & Design
- Review and refine the provided course structure and learning objectives.
- Develop detailed session plans, training materials, presentations, and case studies aligned with PETREL functionalities and reservoir engineering concepts.
- Incorporate industry-relevant examples, data sets, and simulation exercises.
Training Delivery
- Deliver engaging and interactive sessions across all course modules, including theoretical lectures and practical PETREL lab exercises.
- Guide participants in performing reservoir modeling, data analysis, and simulation exercises using PETREL.
- Facilitate real-life case studies and group-based capstone projects to reinforce learning.
Participant Support
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and feedback throughout the course duration.
- Ensure participants gain both conceptual understanding and applied PETREL proficiency.
Assessment & Reporting
- Evaluate participant progress through quizzes, project assessments, and presentations.
- Prepare a comprehensive post-training report summarizing participant performance, course outcomes, and recommendations for improvement.
Key Deliverables:
- Training materials and presentations for all modules.
- Practical datasets and case study exercises for PETREL-based analysis.
- A comprehensive course implementation plan and daily session schedule.
- Final course report, including participant feedback and recommendations.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or higher degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Geoscience, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in petroleum reservoir engineering and field operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in PETREL software for reservoir modeling, simulation, and data integration.
- Proven experience conducting technical training or capacity-building programs in the oil and gas sector.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Experience using additional petroleum engineering tools (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, OFM) will be an added advantage.
