Overview of position
We are recruiting a Regional Director to lead our operations in East Africa (based in Nairobi, Kenya). This is a high-impact international leadership role, overseeing multiple country programmes and driving growth, profitability, compliance, and operational excellence in challenging humanitarian and development contexts.
In addition to this immediate post, strong applicants will also be considered for our leadership pipeline, with potential future Regional Director assignments in MENA, Africa, and Asia.
Role objectives
Education: Master’s degree in Management, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 11–15 years in progressively senior leadership roles across international development/humanitarian contexts.
- Minimum two international postings as Country Director, Regional Head, or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience leading and managing medium to large sized teams spread geographically.
- Proven success in P&L accountability, business expansion, and revenue growth.
- Experience leading large, multicultural teams in complex environments.
- Demonstrated capacity in compliance, governance, and ethics oversight.
