Urologist
Requirements
- MBChB and Master’s in Urology (MMed Urology) or equivalent from a recognized institution
- Valid KMPOC registration and practicing license.
- Minimum 3-5 years post-specialization experience in a reputable hospital
- Relevant life support certifications (eg, BLS, ACLS, ATLS).
- Strong clinical surgical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
- Ethical practice and compliance with MoH and KMPDC standards.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat conditions of the urinary tract and male reproductive system.
- Perform urological surgeries and procedures (eg. prostatectomy, cystoscopy, stone removal)
- Manage both outpatient and inpatient urological cases.
- Provide emergency urological care and consultations.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and residents.
- Maintain proper patient documentation and ensure quality, safe care.
- Participate in departmental planning, audits, and training
- Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
