Job Purpose
Overseeing and optimizing timely and accurate dispatch of goods & ensuring efficient truck utilization.
Job Responsibility and Accountability
- Ensuring orders are processed and dispatched on time.
- Ensuring order accuracy.
- Protecting goods from damage during handling and transportation.
- Maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
- Minimizing transportation expenses through efficient load planning and route optimization.
- Minimizing damage to products and reducing dispatch errors.
- Ensuring all manifests are printed and signed before the release of the truck.
- Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety.
- Any other duties assigned by Management
Qualification
- A minimum of Diploma in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience and Key skills
- Exposure to warehouse operations, procedures, and inventory techniques.
- Hands on 3 years’ experience in warehousing and stock control in a formal setup.
- Proficiency in using WMS software for order processing, inventory management, and dispatch.
- Knowledge of the entire logistics process.
- Exposure to using an automated warehouse inventory system i.e. Orion.
- Should have good work ethics and integrity.
- Resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
- Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the rest of the team
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good numerical skills.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and time management skills.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
