Job Summary
CITAM seeks to recruit a born-again Christian who is experienced and self-motivated to fill the position of an Assistant Cook, whose responsibility will be to support the cook in preparation of meals, service, and cleaning.
The position reports to the Cook.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in execution of menus and cooking food for customers’ delight.
- Ensure timely service of meals.
- Support purchase of consumables and refreshments as directed by the cook.
- Ensure that high hygiene and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen all the time.
- Ensure good preservation of raw food stuffs.
- Coordinate with cook / waiters on serving of food.
- Assist in maintenance of the kitchen inventory for food items.
- Support the cook in food preparation.
- To assist in set up and breakdown of service areas for functions and with the service of food and clearing of dishes.
Requirements
- Must be a born-again, mature Christian who conforms to the CITAM statement of faith.
- Diploma in Food Production and or a related course from a reputable institution. A degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 Years experience in a similar position.
- IT competence with a bias in hotel related Systems.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
