We are looking for a Business Development Officer who will play a key role in expanding the general insurance portfolio hence driving the growth and success of the company. The incumbent will be responsible for acquisition of new and profitable business through Brokers.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the company through Brokers
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and brokers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other departments to develop and implement business development strategies
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective client
- Increasing client base
- Prepare business cases and make strong recommendations for improvements
- Monitor industry trends and market conditions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Marketing, or any other business-related field
- Significant training or professional papers i.e. (CIM, AIIK, ACII) will be an added advantage
- At least 5 years’ experience in dealing with Brokers
- Strong track record of achieving or exceeding business development goals
- Strong broker network
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Proven negotiation and presentation skills
- Business acumen and analytical thinking
