Staff Accountant
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients.
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
- Support tax preparation for individual, corporate, and partnership returns.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
- Assist with audits and compliance requirements.
- Communicate with clients to gather financial information and provide updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and client-service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines effectively.
