Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients.
  • Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
  • Support tax preparation for individual, corporate, and partnership returns.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
  • Assist with audits and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate with clients to gather financial information and provide updates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines effectively.
