Thika Water & Sewerage Company Ltd is a Water Service Provider wholly owned by the County Government of Kiambu mandated with providing water and sanitation services within Thika Constituency.
The Board of Directors of the Company comprises of stakeholders identified as per the memorandum and articles of association in line with the WASREB guidelines.
The Company has two (2) vacancies to be filled by any of the below stakeholders operating within the Company’s service area:
- Business Community or Manufacturing Group (1)
- Resident Associations (1)
Qualifications
Applications are invited from the nominees of the above-mentioned stakeholders’ who must meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelor Degree from an institution recognized in Kenya.
- Demonstrate experience and acumen in a business or any profession or trade for at least 5 years.
- Demonstrate participation in local development initiatives.
- A registered member of Business Community or Manufacturing group, this applies to category group one.
- A member of a registered resident association within the company service area this applies to Resident Associations Category.
- For the Resident Associations Category, this position is strictly reserved for female candidates, and only qualified women are eligible to apply.
- Be in good standing with the nominating organization; and
- Be a resident within the Company’s service area.

How to Apply
All applications must be accompanied by;
- Copies of their detailed curriculum vitae with names, address and telephone contacts of three referees.
- Academic and professional certificates, testimonials, national identity card or passport and any other supporting documents.
- A letter of nomination from the above-named organization or relevant body from the area of jurisdiction.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to fulfil the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution by submitting clearances from the following institutions.
- Kenya Revenue Authority
- Ethics & anti- Corruption Commission
- Directorate of Criminal Investigations (Certificate of Good Conduct)
- Higher Education Loans Board
- Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
The applications should be dropped at the County Government’s Head Quarter Offices- Kiambu, Department of Water, Environment, Natural Resources & Climate Change in plain sealed envelopes marked “APPLICATION FOR DIRECTOR OF THIKA WATER & SEWERAGE COMPANY LIMITED’ on or before 22nd December 2025 at 4:00pm and addressed to:
