Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Digital Strategy the intern will:
Editorial
- Research, compile, draft and edit basic information for use in the preparation and production of online
- content, often under tight deadlines.
- Review existing content to identify required edits and clean up in line with agreed strategies.
- Advise and take part in reporting activities, analytics and creation of dashboards (such as PowerBI).
- Support
- Manage meeting agendas and draft meeting notes.
- Create presentations and training curricula.
- Carry out research tasks and provide inputs into digital strategy planning and activities.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Technical
- Take part in knowledge repository/taxonomy clean-up, indexing, and other related work.
- Experience in
- Dspace is a plus (but not required).
- Front and back-end Drupal development work in an AWS environment..
Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Preferred areas of studies: Communications, Information Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. No working experience is required. Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work. experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
- Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.
