Role Description

This is a full-time opportunity for the on-site position of Technical Assistant, located in Kericho County, Kenya. The Technical Assistant role entails the following:
Carry out farmer recruitment and ensure farmers understand our operations before onboarding as well as activation of dormant numbers.
Ensure extension of Kaisugu catchment area into areas where we are currently not present,
Attend to farmers queries and concerns satisfactory.
Ensure proper allocation under OR1 programme.
Ensure collection of GPS coordinates at the time of registration.
Creating awareness amongst farmers on Green Leaf quality parameters set by the Company.
Ensure proper management of farms under managed farms program.
Communicate any challenges to management for prompt action to be taken,
Act as a link between the company and farmers and ensure any information meant for the farmers is passed on time,
Participate in training of farmers on the requirements for the ethical certification that the company subscribes to (ISO 22000-2018 and Rainforest Alliance).
Participate fully in Certification audits conducted from time to time i.e., RA audits.
Ensure the image of the Kaisugu Ltd is upheld at all times.
Carry out any duty that may be assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in General Agriculture or any other related discipline.
Should have a minimum of 2 years working experience in tea estate/tea farm operations.
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
Must have management and communication skills.
Ability to work in a team.
