Driver Jobs, Warehouse Receipt System Council Jobs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Driving motor vehicle as authorized.
  • Carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems, tyre pressure etc.
  • Detecting malfunction of vehicle systems.
  • Maintenance of work tickets for vehicles assigned.
  • Ensuring **security and safety** of the vehicles on and off the road.
  • Overseeing safety of the passengers and/or goods therein.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the motor vehicle.
  • Preparing motor vehicle **periodic reports**.

Person Specifications

Mandatory requirements:

  • Have served in the grade of Driver II for a minimum period of three (3) years.
  • Have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D (plain) or equivalent qualification.
  • Have a valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for the required classes of vehicles.
  • Have passed Occupational Trade Test for Drivers Grade III from Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution.
  • Possess a First Aid Refresher Certificate lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John Ambulance or KIHBT or any other recognized institution.
  • Be proficient in computer applications.
  • Have a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police Service (DCI).
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
