Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN).
  • Coordinating drawing and scheduling preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Reviewing security features of the warehouse receipt for conformity.
  • Providing technical ICT support to users.
  • Installing and configuring ICT equipment and services.
  • Certifying use of hardware and software and ensuring that all are licensed.
  • Maintaining and supporting information system and/ or implementing new computer-based systems.
  • Monitoring backup logs and resolving any failures.
  • Undertaking periodic review of information technology security requirements including encrypting digital signatures, access controls, data integrity, authentication exchange, traffic padding, routing control and notarization.
  • Validating, analysing, coding, testing and implementing computer programs.

Person Specifications

Mandatory requirements:

  • Have served in the grade of ICT Officer II for a minimum period of three (3) years.
  • Have a Bachelor degree in any the following disciplines: Computer Science, Information Science, Information Communication Technology, Business Management and Information Technology or equivalent qualifications.
  • Demonstrated and shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
