We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, and experienced professional to fill the position of Medical Centre Manager/Administrator. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the overall operational and administrative excellence of our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will report to the Board of Management and will be responsible for:
- Overall Facility Management: Providing strategic leadership and day-to-day management of the medical centre to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Administrative Leadership: Overseeing all non-clinical operations, including human resources, staff supervision, performance management, and development.
- Financial Management: Managing the centre’s budgets, payroll, billing, and financial reporting. Ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial sustainability.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the facility complies with all Kenyan health regulations, standards, and legal requirements set by bodies such as the Ministry of Health.
- Supplies and Inventory Management: Overseeing the procurement, storage, and distribution of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment to prevent stock-outs and ensure quality.
- Patient Services and Experience: Implementing strategies to improve the quality of care, patient satisfaction, and community engagement.
- Health Information Systems: Managing patient records, data collection, and reporting for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
- Facility Maintenance: Ensuring the medical centre’s infrastructure, equipment, and assets are well-maintained and functional.
Qualification and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a healthcare management or administrative role, preferably in a hospital or medical centre setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Kenyan healthcare system, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, and supply chain management.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and health management information systems.
