Scope of Responsibilities:
The Executive Director of Shared Services and Strategic Operations provides strategic and visionary leadership for the school’s centralized administrative functions—including finance, human resources, IT, operations, procurement, transportation, and food services. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, optimizing resources, and cultivating a values-driven culture of collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement that supports the broader mission of the school.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage teams across all shared services functions, ensuring high service delivery and performance.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize and standardize processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Ensure that all workflows meet the agreed-upon service levels, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate the operations of the Shared Services Centre, driving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPI), providing actionable insights to the executive team and Boards.
- Lead change management initiatives, facilitating smooth transitions to new processes or technologies.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning, cross-cultural understanding, and collaborative problem-solving across all teams.
- Build strong relationships with local and international staff, modeling cultural humility and bcreating psychologically safe spaces for feedback and innovation.
- Align operational decisions with the school’s mission, vision, and values, ensuring that business functions enhance the educational experience.
- Serve as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure aligned service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Ensure prudent management of resources, assets, and sensitive information.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and communication between different divisions.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Qualities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field
- Professional qualifications such as an MBA, CPA, PMP, or equivalent are preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in a shared services role or outsourcing environment.
- Proven track record of delivering process efficiencies, service improvements, and cost reductions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated success working in diverse or international settings
- Evidence of inclusive leadership and culturally responsive management
