Responsibilities:
Welding Operations:
- Set up machine parameters and operate MIG welding equipment.
- Weld metal components together using MIG welding techniques.

Material Preparation and Handling:
- Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, and positioning parts.
- Ensure proper alignment and fit-up of materials to be welded.
- Handle raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
Quality Control:
- Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and undercuts.
- Perform routine quality checks using measuring tools and visual inspection.
- Repair and rework defective welds as needed.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform regular maintenance on welding equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with welding machines and tools.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain records of welding work, including materials used and weld parameters.
- Document any issues or defects encountered during the welding process.
- Report production and quality data to supervisors.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work with other team members to optimize the welding process.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and quality control personnel.
- Assist in training new welders and providing guidance on best practices.
- Perform any other assignment given by the supervisor.
Requirements and Skills
- 2 years of professional MIG welding.
- Artisan Grade III in welding from NITA.
- Working knowledge of industry tool and equipment
- Able to read blueprints
- Proficient in basic math
