About the Role
Royal Mabati Factory Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resource Assistant to support day-to-day HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, documentation, and compliance functions. The successful candidate will ensure smooth HR processes, timely support to staff, and effective implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the full recruitment cycle including job posting, shortlisting, interview coordination, and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation.
- Assist in preparing HR letters, contracts, memos, and internal communication.
- Support employee induction, orientation, and staff welfare initiatives.
- Coordinate attendance tracking, timesheets, and leave management.
- Assist in performance appraisal processes and follow-up on action points.
- Help in organizing training sessions, workshops, and employee engagement activities.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Assist with payroll support, including verifying attendance and preparing inputs.
- Maintain HR databases, update employee information, and generate periodic HR reports.
- Support disciplinary and grievance processes by scheduling meetings and documenting minutes.
- Coordinate medical, insurance, and staff benefits administration.
- Provide day-to-day HR support to departments and respond to employee inquiries.
- Assist in compliance audits, filing, and record updates.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and HR compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR information systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Membership with IHRM is an added advantage.
