Job Specification
Duties and responsibilities at this grade include
- Assisting in collection and transmission of fisheries and aquaculture data to scientists;
- Assisting in the maintenance of fish ponds and aquaria;
- Cleaning of laboratories, fish ponds and aquaria;
- Assisting in seining and harvesting fish from ponds;
- Assisting in feeding of fish in fish ponds and aquaria;
- Assist in observing and reporting abnormal behavior in aquaculture systems; and
- Assist in observing and reporting functional faults in aquaculture systems.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade as an officer must have:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) D Plain or equivalent;
Key Competencies and Skills
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision; and
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
